Opportunity
Be ready when opportunity comes. Luck is the time when preparation and opportunity meet. ![]() Opportunity often comes in the form of misfortune or temporary defeat. ![]() Ring the bells that still can ring. Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in. ![]() If a window of opportunity appears, don't pull down the shade. ![]() Opportunity is often difficult to recognize; we usually expect it to beckon us with beepers and billboards. ![]() Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life; everyone must carry out a concrete assignment that demands fulfillment. Therein he cannot be replaced, nor can his life be repeated, thus, everyone's task is unique as his specific opportunity to implement it. ![]() We are told that talent creates its own opportunities. I've never banked on it, and I'm afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else; hard work and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't. ![]() Success lulls us into complacency and sometimes even arrogance. ![]() If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for the passionate sense of the potential, for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never. ![]() Always act in such a way that further possibilities arise. ![]() There is no security on this earth: there is only opportunity. ![]() Opportunities multiply as they are seized. ![]() Out of chaos comes opportunity. ![]() Serendipity is too important to be left to chance. ![]() Never, ever rest on your laurels. Today's laurels are tomorrow's compost. |
